Mediation in Commercial Disputes

Start Your Mediation Journey Simply

Overview

Intensive training delivered in just a few days, with guided, evaluated simulations that transport you into the world of mediation and equip you with the knowledge and skills to practice it, all led by practicing international experts.

In this program, participants receive a theoretical introduction to mediation as a consensual solution for resolving commercial disputes, then engage in mock mediation cases with guidance from the trainer. This full-fledged simulation will give the participants skills in mediation and enable them to begin practicing it in a short period of time.

Mediation is an important ADR solution alongside arbitration. International institutions involved in the development of international trade law such as UNCITRAL are increasingly interested in mediation, especially with the launch of the Singapore Convention on Mediation in 2019. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a number of countries in the region were among the first to sign and ratify the Singapore Convention, which provides a legal basis for the enforcement of international settlement agreements resulting from mediation, along the lines of the New York Convention in the context of arbitration.
