A partnership between the Academy and Mobily to provide specialized training programs

By way of forming institutional partnerships to provide business sectors with top alternative dispute resolution professionals, SCCA Academy has signed a memorandum of understanding with Etihad Etisalat Company, known for its Mobily brand. Under the MOU, the two institutions will cooperate on professional development programs in the ADR field, designing and holding training programs for Mobily in the field of arbitration and mediation, and organizing joint events such as seminars and workshops.

The MOU signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), under whose umbrella SCCA Academy operates, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. SCCA Director of Professional Development Mr. Munif bin Salem Bajamil signed the MOU on behalf of SCCA Academy, while Mobily Vice President of Legal and Corporate Affairs Mr. Mohammed bin Ali Alzogaibi signed on behalf of Mobily.

The agreement provides for of seats in SCCA Academy training programs to be allocated to Mobily employees, with the potential for other programs or development to be held solely for employees of Mobily. In return, the MOU opens the door for Mobily to sponsor SCCA Academy activities and programs, and host some of its events at Mobily’s headquarters.

The event comes in the context of SCCA Academy’s efforts to advance the professional practice of ADR in Saudi Arabia and the region by holding professional, specialized training and education programs that provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to practice forms of ADR such as arbitration and mediation. These programs are offered through international partnerships and led by elite experts in the industry.
